If that's true, there's an argument for me just fixing my hardware, but this isn't something I've experienced in other games that have similar input Dead Cells works fine, for example. Knowing how it's supposed to work, if I were to gamble on a suggestion, I'd guess that lateral movement is favoured when registering left stick movement, and the stick drift just happens to be exactly enough to throw it off some of the time. The worst thing about it is that it's super inconsistent. Sometimes I can get a good streak going with actually digging down, but most of the time, it's an exercise in frustration. Take on missions to deal with the Overlord’s minions or simply move from planet to planet and explore, it’s all engaging and tense. It does not have much in the way of narrative but the mechanics mix in an interesting way. It almost always ends up being a side dig when I try and dig down. DIG - Deep In Galaxies is a fast and fun experience that emphasizes freedom and variety. I don't think this is a physical problem with my controller it has a little stick drift, but not enough that I've had a problem in any other game.
